Salon ME is a European walk-in Culver City Beauty and Nail Salon with a hip cosmopolitan vibe. Its interior is designed in a high-tech, minimalist, light Scandinavian style. Danish hair stylist Michael Ehlert’s unique salon is located in one of the newest hot areas of Los Angeles in the pedestrian friendly environment of upscale Main Street, Culver City.

As a typical European Beauty Salon, Salon ME invites you to stop by without appointment. You can walk-in while on a lunch break, on a shopping trip or while selecting groceries at the festive Tuesday Farmer’s market, where locals shop, chill out and enjoy the new hip wine bars and international restaurants. Flexibility is a key word to Michael Ehlert and requested late appointments can be arranged.

Located in the heart of screen land opposite Sony Studios, Salon ME does not simply offer hairstyling and coloring following the newest European trends, it also provides a friendly, social and hip atmosphere, where you can socialize at the outside ‘VIP lounge’ with your own choice of drinks. The music, of course, is the latest European dance grooves and the flat TV-screens add entertainment from Satellite dance radio from Europe.

Hair stylist Michael Ehlert brings over 30 years of his Danish style and sensibility to the new SALON ME in the popular Culver City downtown center on Main Street. His services include African American styles, shampoo, conditioners, flat iron or press and curl, hair extensions, coloring, braids, twist, locs, 2 strand twist, women’s curly hair, women’s highlights, men’s shampoo and buzz cuts. Salon-Me also offers Nail services from Manicures and Pedicures to beautiful Nail Art.

Mr. Ehlert whose salon in Copenhagen was the cornerstone of Danish style for many years, then went on to partner with the renowned salon Molton Brown in London, where he was the topstylist, training hair professionals who regularly pilgrimaged globally to London for it’s stature of being on the forefront of design, fashion and style.

After stints in Bermuda and San Francisco, Mr. Ehlert lead the fashion and hair department at the Burke Williams Spas West Hollywood and Santa Monica, treating the celebrity infused clientele to the latest organic hair and scalp treatments.
Mr. Ehlert finally decided to open his SALON ME in Los Angeles, where he introduced the new Brazllian hair straightener and continues to work with the latest Redken hair colors, combining all of his European techniques, Molton Brown, Sassoon and the Danish Stur schools.

“The Culver City salon is my proud new accomplishment.” Says the award winning runway and television stylist. “For so long I wanted to recreate the flavor of Denmark in L. A, which I feel I have done. When you walk into SALON ME, it’s clean and white while also being hip and inviting, just like I feel when I’m home in Copenhagen.”
